There is only one reason to come here, the body scrub/massage package!! The first time I came here a couple years ago, I was bored and didn't see the point of coming back, I wanted a massage for my birthday and thought I would try another body scrub, as I had one years ago at a different Korean spa. I soaked in the hot tub for a half an hour, as other reviewers recommended, the body scrub was a half hour followed by a deep tissue massage. You have a towel covering your face and man junk, so there is no need to feel uncomfortable about being exposed. I would describe the body scrub as very precise and professional. The massage was great too, and wasn't a rub down, but more deep tissue pressure points, he even added those suction cups that you see athletes use, on tense muscles areas. Afterwards, he washes and rinses you off, I felt like a king! I highly recommend!! Make sure to bring cash for a tip, as you can't add a tip using a credit card.
When at the Security Mall drive around towards Burlington Coat Factory. When there you'll be able to see the Seoul Spa sign. The mall is being redone so it looks abandoned but simply follow signs to the spa. Inside the spa is beautiful. Probably a little different to most since they ask you to be fully naked in the gender specific rooms and to wear their uniform in the co-ed part. But- if you can put all that aside the spa is beautiful and does wonders for your body and mind. They ask not to have phones in there so I couldn't take pictures but the Himalayan salt room is gorgeous! I would call just to make sure they're open as the new mall owners are trying to kick them out, but the more patrons they get the less likely they'll be kicked out so if you've ever wanted to go now is the time!
This spa is a traditional Korean bathhouse (jimjilbang). That means they have several co-ed saunas with various themes, and then separate ladies and men's bathhouses that have various baths and saunas. Additionally they offer scrubs and massage services for extra fees (on top of the initial entrance fee). We just moved from Dallas, and this place is similar to the King Spa in Dallas. BUT King Spa is huge and super crowded, but this place is smaller and way less busy, which is actually really nice. The last time I went with my husband, there were just a handful of other people there, which was nice. A couple of other things to know: 1) Scrub Service: You can add on a scrub service, where you get completely naked, and the attendant will exfoliate your body from head to toe using these scrubber gloves. It's super thorough, and a little uncomfortable because you are completely naked. I was concerned it would hurt, but it didn't hurt at all, maybe was a bit scratchy. I was AMAZED at how much dead skin came off. I wouldn't recommend doing this all the time, but I think I will do the scrub service once a year (end of winter) go forward. 2) Massage Service: I got a combined scrub and massage service, and it was the BEST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD. I get massage once a month at least, and this was the best one EVER. 3) Restaurant: There's a place in the spa to get Korean food, yum. 4) Nakedness: The bath-part of the spa is completely naked. No one else is uncomfortable about it, just be mentally prepared. 5) Bath Towel: They give you PJ type outfit to wear in the sauna so you don't get your own clothes dirty, and 2 little towels to use in the bath. I recommend bringing your own bath towel for getting ready after using the spa. 6) Run Down Mall: The spa is located on the second floor of a run down, fairly empty mall. Just follow the signs posted to the spa. It looks like the spa is closed, but don't worry, it's open! I highly recommend this experience and hope you try it out!
