About Escape Nails & Spa
Escape Nails & Spa offers a range of nail and spa services, including pedicures and foot massages. Clients appreciate the salon's focus on cleanliness, with tools being taken directly from packaging. The staff is described as accommodating and sweet, making clients feel catered to. Drinks are served, and staff regularly check on client comfort. While some clients have praised specific nail technicians, others have reported negative experiences with punctuality and customer service from certain staff members. Clients have praised the salon's attention to detail and the pampering experience they receive. The salon offers fresh fruit and beverages, and the chocolate pedicure is a popular choice. However, some clients have experienced issues with sloppy work and excess powder left on their nails, which required multiple requests for cleaning. The salon is located in a shopping center with ample parking, and clients have had positive experiences with the receptionist and the nail technician named Kim.
I came as a walk-in but that was not an issue for them. I was escorted by my nail tech to the pedicure room. She right away asked me what color I wanted and whether I wanted fresh fruit and a beverage. I said yes and received a saucer of cold fresh fruit and a mason jar glass of cold lemonade with a straw. The prices are steep but comparable to other nail salons that don't offer those accoutrements. I felt very pampered and I was happy about that because if I am paying high prices anyway, let me feel pampered in the process. My nail tech was gentle yet expertly going after any rough callouses. She didn't seem to be rushing. I got the chocolate pedicure and the basic manicure. The chocolate scrub smells so good.
I had an oil change at Mr. Tire and figured I could use that time to get a pedicure. This location is within 10mins walking so it made sense to go there for a pedicure. I was greeted immediately when entering and my service started shortly after. The location itself is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately that's where my positive comments end. This place is always hit or miss for me, the last time I came a man got so hostile with me for asking for a thicker line on my French pedicure and for that reason I hadn't been back in months. Against my better judgement I tried this place again because I was overdue for a pedicure. The woman who serviced me was very rough, frequently and painfully jabbing me with the cuticle cutter to which I would jump and she would yank my feet back into place. Since the last time I came they've jumped to charging $30 extra for gel polish which is INSANE! Due to the price tag I went with a basic pedicure that was supposed to come with a massage but I did not get that either. So on top of being forced into the most basic service because of the $30 addition the service I received was not what I paid for. I can't even feel good about tipping at a place like this when I feel like I'm being exploited a bit. There are other locations within 20mins that make the drive worth it at that price tag on top of the quality of service. I've yet to have any success in Charles county for pedicures and think I'll stick to my nail shop in Clinton.
I visited Escape Nails and Spa on a Friday. I went to a polish change and the polish change was $35 very expensive in my opinion. And $25 for my eyebrows, I was thinking $60 for this but I paid it . Nice atmosphere but I will not be returning as I don’t believe the price I paid was worth it. Also, I had to wait additional time as the person taking eyebrows took multiple others so I ended up having to wait again. So I actually received a refund for the eyebrows and walked out.
