I suffered a sudden retina detahcment. I reached out to the on-call and spoke to Dr. Sjaarda. This was on a Sunday morning at about 3am. He was kind, empathetic and cared. Agreed to open the office and see me later on that same day (Sunday). Determined it was detached and worked to get me scheduled for surgery and there I met Dr. John Thompson. I cannot say enough about their knowledge, professionalism, and sincere empathy. I read one-star reviews and they seem to be mostly about the time in the office. After my ophthalmologist discovered that I may have a torn retina he was able to set up an appointment for me immediately. When I arrived, I was dealt with with a sense of urgency that made me feel that my eye issue was very important and critical. Which intern made me feel very taken care of. And the Doctor Who treated me was very professional and very, very knowledgeable, and that was also very comforting my whole experience from my ophthalmologist to the retinologist happen very quickly But gave me a sense and a feeling of dealing with people that knew exactly what they were doing, and took care of me quickly and in the most professional way possible.
Consistently 2-3 hour wait it’s awful when you need help. I don’t work here, I don’t want to wait here longer than you’ve worked, Sad considering 80% of your patients are seniors.
