I got married 30 years ago this June and while I was on my honeymoon, my mother took my silk and lace wedding dress, veil and headpiece to be cleaned and preserved at Athens. The box has been at my Mom's house all this time and I just found it when clearing out her closets after she passed away. My daughter wanted to open it to see. My husband was sure that after 30 years, it would be a mess. The dress was perfect! It was clean and bright. The veil and headpiece were also pristine and perfect. It was set on a form and stuffed with acid free tissue paper and wired in place with very long twist ties. Hermetically sealed and double boxed. Very impressed. April 18, 2020. They have been closed forSeveral days now- no sign on door- no notice- not answering phone. Cleaning is an”essential” business so they don’t have to be closed in Maryland.!How do I pick up my clothes?
