As an update, it seems that AHS is the real problem, not GM Appliance. I believe I had issues reaching them because the regular office person was out and they had some vm backlog. I spoke with Wesley last week and he told me the ETA for my part. On Friday, I spoke with the technician to ask him for an update and he gave more useful info. On Monday morning (today), they called and said he would be coming in a couple hours and we now have a working washer! Would have liked a little more/easier communication, but all in all it worked out and I don't want to fault GM Appliance for how awful American Home Shield is to deal with.

had a fridge which defrosted and opened a ticket with my home warranty company. they came and looked at the fridge and did not find anything wrong. they asked me to watch the fridge and if the problems resurfaced to call them. I left the fridge on and it seemed to work ok. The following day I came home and opened the freezer door and found that a freezer shelf and glass shelf covering the freezer drawers and a door shelf were missing. I called and left a message on the cellphone of the technician and got no response. I then called the company on Tuesday after labor day and was told they would contact the technician and get back to me. I contacted them again a few days...read full review
