“What a phenomenal place! Spent a Sunday morning in a Sip & Snip workshop that I found on Eventbrite. The barn and gardens were stunning to drive through. In the workshop, you not only get coffee (in its own travel cup) and scones, but you also get your own shears to explore the overflowing beds of dahlias, nightshade, and zinnias. Emmy and Melissa did a fantastic job explaining the gardens and flowers. Already taking a peek at their next workshops so I can bring my family and friends. Worth the trip!“

“I’m not the sort that usually leaves Reviews, but I must say that the “above and beyond” that CFD offered me in order to make good on something (that was not even their fault!) I felt warranted my time to do so.
I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife on Valentines through one of those third-party (You know the ones!) Flower Companies. After I made my selection, they offered a larger, fuller bouquet for an up-charge, which I did. Now, I know these Online Companies do not physically handle any of the flowers themselves, but rather contract out the work, I did not know just how much they take advantage of the florists who are the ones who are in charge of the arrangement and delivery.
When my wife’s bouquet showed, she was happy judge for receiving flowers for Valentines.
But I was underwhelmed with what I paid for, what I was expecting and what was received.
Not to say that the arrangement was bad, just less than unexpected, less than I paid for, just less than.
The local florist-Creative Floral Designs, had a card attached so I decided to send an email to them, expressing my unhappiness.
Donna-the Owner, got back to me and said that she would make it right on her own dime.
She did just that.
She went above and beyond, created an arrangement close to what the third-party (who didn’t provide her with a picture for her to at least attempt to replicate!) and sent it out for delivery the next day.
All during Valentines Weekend!
I cannot say loudly enough how extremely happy I am for what Donna did to ensure my wife was happy on her day.
If anybody lives within a 50 mile radius of Silver Spring, MD, do yourself a favor and forget the 3rd Party CO’s and order directly from CFD.
And her being Locally Owned and Operated is always a plus.
