Pets ER Veterinary Office provides excellent and professional service, keeping clients informed throughout the process and ensuring they don't feel pressured with upsells. The staff is friendly and accommodating, with a skilled veterinarian who can explain medical situations in an understandable way. Although wait times can be long, they handle non-life threatening situations quickly and thoroughly. Pets ER is highly recommended, as they prioritize the health and well-being of their patients. The clinic offers curbside service, which some clients find challenging during stressful times. However, the veterinarian's competence and the clinic's ability to provide clear instructions for follow-up care have been praised by satisfied customers.
The vets and staff in the back were lovely and extremely kind and supportive while we were unfortunately putting one of our babies to sleep….but the lady in the front could not have been any more unpleasant. We tried calling multiple times, the calls would either fail, or we would only receive a busy tone (3 of us each tried) and waited in front of the door while attempting for some time before finally resorting to hitting a doorbell button (they had told us on the phone that our boy may not be able to hold out while we traveled almost an hour to them). The staff is very cordial and accommodating. My dog was in respiratory distress. They had the necessary medical equipment and tools to diagnose and treat my dog. They also kept me apprised of each step in a timely manner till he was breathing, better and ready to be discharged.
Dr Drewer, and the whole staff, were exceptional this past weekend. My cat, Pepper, was not eating and was behaving abnormally; we did not come in with immediate life-threatening issues, but I was unable to get an appointment at our usual local vet so emergency vet was my only option. We live an hour away in coastal Sussex county. We spent about a total of 3-4 hours at the facility. Wait times at a pet ER are normal and to be expected, recognizing that animals come in needing to be bumped ahead for critical treatment (especially for our area of Sussex county DE where we have difficulty getting in to see a regular vet in a timely fashion when needed).
