“I prayed to the Lord of Host that my experience in getting a weave would be a positive one. In the past, I never immediately liked the final product. It always had to grow on me. I am not a hair diva and I detest getting my hair done. I am very tender-headed. I also suffer allergic reactions to most stylist's hair products and hair, synthetic and human. Melva discussed everything with me. I purchased my weave from Mayvenn a vendor she was well-familiar with and she trusted their quality. She asked me about allergies. I told her I was allergic to sulfur and most hair products. Melva read her products' ingredients before choosing the ones to use on me. She washed, conditioned, and blow-dried my hair. She chose to use yarn instead of kankelon hair for braiding. Normally, kankelon hair that was not pre-soaked in vinger/water, would set my scalp on fire due to my allergy to the hair's preservatives. She braided my hair with yarn to strengthen the weave foundation. She braided not too tight but just right. She caused me no discomfort. She continued with the weaving with such professionalism that when she finished, I was amazed with the final results. I actually liked my style and it fitted my face perfectly. I was overjoyed! I praised God and I thanked her for a style well-done. I recommend Melva to anyone who has hair and scalp issues. She's been doing this for over 30 years (she doesn't look like it). Her price was reasonable and she is nuturing. She was born with the gift to do hair. I will be back in 3-weeks for my maintenance.“

“This was my first time at the salon in Ft. Washington. When I walked in, I was greeted by the staff and asked who I was here to see. Ari was my stylist. She seemed kind but you could tell that she was bothered by having more than one client. Her other client asked her how long it would be and she just ignored her. I asked how often I should come to get my locs retwisted and she said she didn't know. I would have given this salon 5 stars if it weren't for her. She does a good job but needs to work on time management and try to answer questions to the best of her ability or ask another stylist. Mahogany saw that i had been waiting a bit to get the final touches done to my hair and stepped in to take the pins out, oil and do my edges. I will definitely return to the salon to get my hair done but I will not go back to Ari.“

“Wonderful experience. I have a son on the spectrum and usually cut his hair as going to a shop can be difficult for him.. We saw Nancy and she was absolutely brilliant with him. Price was great, parlor was clean. They have hung dividers between each chair to assist with COVID spread (would have liked to see additional panels between the front desk/waiting area and the first seats, but otherwise it was really great). Hr3at reporte with customers as they come in. Would definitely recommend Nancy.“
