I’m a quiet person and Chad tried small talk, I replied politely, but eventually we fell into comfortable silence and it was very much appreciated. “Today marks the 40th year anniversary of me getting my haircut at gentlemen gentlemen by Paul Lamantia! I was a young kid at 21 years old working at Jerry Chevrolet and needed a haircut really bad. I had not had a hair cut in several months so my hair was pretty long and challenging to get under control, she did a great job of giving me styling tips and helping me pick a new style. I really am never sure what to ask for at the barber shop so I rely a lot on the stylist/barber for advice. Macey was patient and helped me pick the best style for me and took my current hair style into consideration!

Things I like about this shop: - as a woman going into a barber shop, it can be a bit intimidating at times. This is never the case here. It's always a ton of love when I'm able to stop in and never feel uncomfortable - when I first decided to cut my hair; Greg was the barber I trusted to give me a great cut while still making me look feminine and he didn't disappoint! Even when I've gotten messed up at other barbers, he's been able to get me right. - there's an option for a wash with your cut...and who doesn't love getting your hair washed - there are currently two barbers, which means the shop is never super crowded. And with an appointment, you can be in and out (assuming you're not over 30 minutes like I was) Overall, I haven't gone wrong. When I moved to DC, made it more inconvenient to come to Baltimore for a haircut, but after this most recent screw up from another barber, was the only place I trusted to get me right before heading out of town.“

“Have to get a haircut about every 10 days to maintain grooming standards for work. So $45 is a little steep for a skin fade at that frequency. BUT, I got a $60 service from Charlie and the shop only charges $45. So this is usually a TLC to myself every couple months or so. I've sat in all 4 chairs and I've never been disappointed. What they may lack in conversation, these gentlemen make up for it by caring about their work and being excellent barbers. Walk in, sit down, don't have to say a word and they just do what they do. Bonus points to the owner Steven for shutting down his haters on here.“
