I called on a Friday night to get an appointment Saturday. I asked to come 9 AM and was told to come. When I got there 9 AM, I didn't really have an appointment. There were only 2 stylists and 5 people were already waiting while 2 people were getting their hair braided. I asked if I could come back since I lived 5 minutes away. I was told to come back at 4 PM and would get a call. Well, I waited until 3:15 to confirm I could still bring my daughter at 4. I received a call 3:58 telling me to come. I’ve been in this shop for 7 years as a customer and can say in all honesty that I like their work. They have a variety of styles and it’s not top dollar prices. Yes the shop is a bit old but look if you never been in a hood barber shop or anything then you probably wouldn’t like this shop. However if you just need good work on the fly minus the fancy extras I highly recommend this shop. Also, they can do different hair types and can work around thinning hair and balding.

I frequent this shop a lot. Granted I wanted to touch on a few things before I give my review, yes the shop is what most consider a "hole in the wall" shop- it's not the most extravagant in decor or setup by any means. However based on the fact that the shop is in one of the worst hoods in SE DC and the fact that they are still here should clarify why- the ladies there do good work. I started letting them do my hair at 13 with a fresh big chop. I'm 20 now and I still always find myself coming back to their shop. The prices are fair , the hairstyles are plentiful, and I've seen them make miracles happen on women who suffer from thinned edges, alopecia, bald spots and then some. Granted if you are looking for high end decor you won't find that, however if you want a nice style without paying high end prices THIS IS THE SHOP FOR YOU.
