You don't find the experience needed to repair vintage stereo equipment, it comes only thru years, no, DECADES of doing quality work and having pride in the outcome. When I found Cal & Sharon and entered their storefront the first time, I knew I was in the right place to have my 1970's era Pioneer receiver recapped. Cal confirmed my belief when I showed him a part in my hand that I thought would be helpful and he simply looked at it and said, "that's not the right part but I can find it and it will be cheaper than you can get it." Repairing these is first a hunt for the parts that takes time but once Sharon called and told me they had all the parts, it was less than a month until I was picking it up. When I was picking it up I also learned they had a CD player for sale that I was interested in and they offered it at a great price so of course I bought it on the spot! I can't wait to reassemble my system with the repaired receiver and newly acquired 300 CD player plus the vintage turntable I acquired a year ago.
Highly recommended! They did a great job restoring a couple of Yamaha turntables for me. They really know their stuff. The price was reasonable, and turnaround was quicker than expected. Plus, the people who run this place are the nicest you will ever meet.
