When I got intot he chair, Thien said I saw when you booked that you were a woman. She said I wasn't sure what kind of hair cut you would ask for. I made it super easy for her and said just like all the guys haircuts you have done since I had been waiting. I am from Portland where it is normal for women to go into a Barber Shops. Let's make this the norm for this area and get more people into see Thien! See you tomorrow, Thien.

Wonderful barber shop in historic Kensington! It is exemplified by the friendly nature of the Vietnamese lady, Ms. Thien Kim who is skilled in her trade. Will not be going in search of another place for a while!!

I moved to the DMV area 5 years ago and one of the first items on my agenda was to find a new barber. I'm very particular with who cuts my hair and some might consider me a difficult customer. That being said, Kim is my go-to stylist. She's attentive and takes her time. She really goes that extra mile to make sure I'm happy with my cut. To top things off, you can't beat her prices for the quality of service you get.While she serves all clientele, she's familiar with how to cut Asian hair which is a bonus for me as I've had some challenging experiences with other barber shops in the area.I highly recommend giving Thien Kim Barber Shop a shot.
