With 13 years of service, they assist with various medical issues such as vomiting and diarrhea, and they support pet owners through difficult end-of-life decisions. The hospital is recognized for its exceptional veterinary skills and genuine concern for the well-being of all pets. Clients appreciate the quick appointment availability, often being able to schedule visits within a day or two for urgent issues. Even in tough situations, like deciding to put down a beloved pet, Dr. Ahalt and his team provide understanding and support, ensuring families feel comfortable throughout the process.
JVH takes care of our 14 pets, and they do a truly wonderful job. We have several cats with special needs—one with irritable bowel disease and two with asthma and various other situations—and the team consistently goes above and beyond to help keep these conditions well managed through specialized food, medications, and breathing treatments. The doctors take the time to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and educate us on how to better care for our animals. We’ve learned so much from both the doctors and staff, and we genuinely appreciate their dedication and persistence in keeping our pets healthy and happy.
We found ourselves in an emergency situation a few weeks ago after a botched spay surgery from a spay and neuter clinic. After calling multiple animal hospitals, Jefferson was the closest and most willing to work with us.They agreed to make arrangements for us to bring our dog, Remi, in for an emergency appointment. They went out of their way to meet us in the parking lot and intake her. She was taken into immediate surgery and we knew she was in good hands upon dropping her off.

We have been bringing our dogs to JVH for about 25 years. All providers and staff are excellent. Always provide excellent care with compassion and understanding, prompt response to our concerns and treatment with efficiency and compassion.
