About Kimbrough Ambulatory Care

Kimbrough Ambulatory Care has a mixed reputation. Some reviewers report positive experiences, such as quick appointment lines, prompt return of voicemails, and convenient online chat services. Others have had negative interactions, citing unfriendly staff, long wait times, and poor communication. Some reviewers express frustration with the facility's policies, including a requirement that patients be accompanied by a driver, who is then left unattended in the waiting room. However, others note that the facility meets basic medical needs, despite its shortcomings.

I finished my last 4 years active duty with my family being seen at Kimbrough and was pleased enough to choose a PCM there myself in retirement (previously down at Bolling). We've been through Pediatrics, Family Medicine, Ortho, GI, Lab, X-Ray, and more that I can't think of off the top of my head. The care has been excellent, and I have been especially impressed by the nurses and PAs who assist the primary providers. I see the complaints about admin and front office staff and we have had some challenges there, which brings me down to 4 instead of 5...that and the phone systems and pharmacy wait times. I called the pharmacy before 3pm for my husband to pick up my Prenanatal vitamins. They told me that I couldn't get my vitamins till tomorrow. The said it was 2.5 hour wait and actually in order to get a prescription the same day they needed 4 hours. Even though the recording says when a order is put in after 4pm that you tou won't get it till the next day. There was one person that tried to help me and then they told me they should get my vitamins, but then there was issues with the instructions on the vitamins that says " take as directed" so then they would have give it to me. Saw two providers here and had the same experience. Both had horrible bedside manners. Patient Advocacy can only do so much. Requested a PCM change, two months later, same PCM. Today I requested to speak with the facility supervisor. One issue resolved. I will continue to push for better care here even though I absolutely hate coming to this clinic for medical and behavioral healthcare. AMEDD must be recruiting, accepting and pushing through anyone with a medical degree to hire and fill healthcare billets or some of the PCMs are blatantly rude and just outright letting you know that they do not care about your needs. Worst clinic I’ve been to in the States.
