Nice restful location just a short ten minute drive from our daughter's place in Newark, DE. Peaceful conservatory to have a basic breakfast in daily. Nice walking paths off property and saw several deer. Bedrooms are comfortable with en suite bathroom with shower and our room had also a jacuzzi tub in the bedroom at foot of bed. Quite lovely area!
Had an incredible time working on the ponds at Elk Forge and staying the night in the Country Club room! The owners are amazing people. The breakfast room was my favorite to wake up to! The rooms hold beautiful history and energies! The outdoors here are peaceful and inviting! The food was spectacular and it made me feel right at home! I felt like I was soo taken care of! My boyfriend and I had the best getaway here.
The Elk Forge Inn is a place filled with beauty, charm, and sophistication. Every single room in the entire building has its own personality, from the stunning antiques, to the hand painted artwork on the walls (done by the owner's wife and a very talented Ukrainian artist), to the beautiful scenery.
My husband and I booked a night here for a romantic getaway and purchased the romance add on. Our room was beautifully decorated with rose petals, candles, and a gift basket with Grey Goose stem glasses, a large bottle of apple cider, lotion, bath salts, chocolates, a sweet beanie baby, and more. The whirlpool bath was delightful.
