I recently had the pleasure of working with Dr. Bretz, an outstanding equine veterinarian, during the pre-purchase examination (PPE) of a horse we were considering buying. Dr. Bretz went far above and beyond in her thoroughness, attention to detail, and dedication to ensuring we made a well-informed decision. Her expertise and commitment were evident in every step of the process. From the very beginning she impressed us with her extensive knowledge and genuine care for the horse's well-being. I have used Monocacy Equine for over 20 years. They have always been professional and very responsive to emergencies as well as making sure to get back to a client in a timely manner if the client cannot be in attendance during a vet exam. I had a horse with canker which is a horrible thing to have to go through. Monocacy sought advice from other nationally renowned vets/experts for more up to date treatment protocols. When other vets may have misdiagnosed the condition or thrown in the towel, they pursued treatment options one of which finally cured the canker.
