Jon Roberts did me solid. It took 2 sittings. Now the top half hasn't healed yet but it looks amazing. I didn't do a lot of talking with Jon other than what I was looking for. He showed me 4 options of the representation of what I was looking for. All 4 options were awesome but this image stuck with me. I asked for a hawk with certain colors and appearance. He made it happen. I couldn't be happier with the art he made.
Damascus is the only place you should consider if you’re getting a tattoo in Maryland or anywhere in the surrounding area. Joe Dejoya has recently done two incredible pieces for me, but every artist in the shop is ridiculously talented, with a huge range of skill sets and styles among them. The shop itself is immaculately clean, excellently managed, and there’s an amazing sense of community. Everyone is friendly, and I love that the artists not only hype each other up, but hype each other’s clients as well. Honestly, I wish I could just keep getting tattoos so I’d have an excuse to come back and hang out with these guys.
I have gone to Damascus Tattoo 3 times so far and my 1st half-sleeve is completed. I'd asked for Jon Roberts, as I have looked over portfolios of many artists, and I absolutely loved his use of color. I sent hm my thoughts, and when we met he had the sleeve design laid out. I loved it. Both half sleeves will cover my fandoms and John is just awesome. The shop is very clean, well lit, and welcoming. I just sent Jon my next images for him to design and I cannot wait!
