All 3 of these stars are for the pediatric department, but adult medicine gets negative stars. We love our pediatrician, Dr. Cole, and any time we go in for a sick visit all the nurses and doctors are wonderful with our son.
The adult medicine doctors are nothing but insulting and patronizing. I've gone in before to get tested for flu only to have my weight discussed the entire time I was there. My husband has asked for recommendations for specialist before and had his medical decisions questioned and was told that he didn't want to see the specialist he was asking for. Dr. Yewande Olasimbo is truly a rare find. She reminds me of an old-fashioned, hometown practitioner in the best possible way—someone who genuinely listens, takes her time, and makes sure her patients are fully cared for.
I recently experienced an asthma attack, and she was outstanding. She didn’t rush the visit. She listened carefully, explained everything in a way I could understand, and made sure I knew what to watch for moving forward.
