CVSS operated on our 13 yr old male cat, Potter. His right anal gland burst and abscessed twice during Covid-19. The second time was while waiting for an appointment with CVSS, but they were operating in a limited capacity. This was emergent, so it was allowed.Dr. Keats performed the surgery and he was excellent. Having over 20 yrs of soft tissue surgical experience, he kept us informed before and after surgery as we were not allowed in with him. When he called with the results of the biopsy, it was a terminal diagnosis, but he did it with such care and concern. He never said the words cancer or terminal. My 7lb. Yorkshire Terrier was admitted to CVSS Columbia because of a completely torn CCL ligament in her left hind leg! I took her there because She had previous surgeries on her legs due to Patella Laxation in both her rear legs 3 years ago! She was operated on by Dr. Keets an his wonderful team!
