I wanted to write this review to help other black women. This place changed my life. I originally found them on Groupon. I called in only to find out they had a better price lmao. I had to call to find out if they can do black skin, it's black-owned and they use thr YAG laser, the answer is yes. I almost gave up because I contacted 2 other places that said I was too DARK but I'm not going to get into that. I bought 6 sets of underarm and Brazilian. This was maybe 4 years ago. I had a great experience...I was in and out in less than 20 minutes! I was greeted by Keith who helped me get checked in. He's very helpful and reminded me of one of my best friends. Dr. Thomas is super knowledgeable about the skin and how it interacts with different types of treatments. She is down to earth and makes you feel comfortable with whatever service you're getting. I received laser hair removal/reduction and was a bit nervous about the pain but surprisingly, it hurt way less than expected. After the laser machine shoots out heat to your hair follicles, it also shoots out a cooling sensation which REALLY helps with pain tolerance especially in sensitive areas....read full review

I have been going to Laser Essentials since 2017 and I have no regrets! I have course dark hair and my hair removal journey before Dr. Thomas and Keith was a mess. I have tried everything from shaving to waxing, creams and epilators which only caused more issues. I easily got ingrown hairs and scarring from shaving despite the recommend pre and post care. Also, despite going to reputable waxing places I once got my skin ripped off which left scabs that were almost like burn marks and I was unable to wear a bikini during my trip to Vegas.I nearly gave up and resorted to using hair trimmers which removes most of your hair but still leaves a “stubble”.
