For decades, I’ve diligently cared for my hair by taking vitamins, staying hydrated, eating a balanced diet, avoiding dyes, limiting washing, and using natural products, oils, and conditioners. My goal was long, thick hair, but genetics had other plans. After accepting this, I began searching for a stylist I could trust to create beautiful hair extensions. Over the years, I consulted several professionals but hesitated due to my wavy, curly, fine, and easily matted hair. I worried extensions would look unnatural or require a high-maintenance routine, which didn’t suit my low-key style. ...Then I found May at May I Do Your Hair. From our first consultation, I was incredibly impressed by her expertise, personability, and genuine care for her clients’ needs. May’s mastery of multiple techniques and her focus on healthy hair stood out. She listened attentively to my concerns, offered knowledgeable advice, and set realistic expectations for maintenance and care. For my challenging hair, she recommended a combination of micro invisible K-tips and a hidden sewn-in row. The results are beyond incredible. I went to bed with the long, thick hair I’ve always dreamed of, and it feels as light as a feather with no discomfort whatsoever. The extensions move naturally, blend seamlessly, and allow me to style my hair in a ponytail, braid, or down without looking like I’m wearing extensions. The day after she placed my extension I went to a wedding and friends I hadn’t seen in months thought my hair had simply grown. They were very surprised to hear I went for extensions.... Had my bundles READY and we worked together on selecting everything from texture, color matching and plan to keep hair growing fast and protecting its curly texture. It's great to find a stylist that isn't a boring cookie-cutter that doesn't just do well on clients of one hair type. LET ME tell you... this stylist is GIFTED. To all of those who are still looking for what I just described THE SEARCH IS OVER. Hair quality - amazing ! And we chose everything TOGETHER!!!! I enjoyed that a lot and it made me feel good to be more apart of the process as well. She is great at educating her clients on any questions, proper hair care, neat tricks and hacks that will specifically be useful to YOU individually. ***My hair is very dense thick heavy and unique in its curl / wave pattern: this adventure has been very cool and fun for me as I embark on a new hair journey with not hiding my texture anymore etc The space is amazing for me, it is cute, super clean, and a beautiful aesthetic to be in. On my apt days, after I have a long day at work I get to relax and know that I will even get a snack and drink while there! Music is also clients choice and all of this is just the cherry on top to the service, talent skill, and amazing treatment experienced. She really customizes the experience for you! I am the focus of my appointments and I love that. >Too many stylists think it's ok to still charge you and brush you off for other last minute rude clients and still charge for your time while having someone else less trained quickly doing ur appt< no thanks:) that's why I prefer May to do My hair now. I know I am going to be in an environment I can relax in and be the focus of the appointment that I am literally paying for to say the LEAST. She really works hard to make the environment not over stimulating, offers snacks a drink, and makes YOU the priority which is more than I ever expected and I PREFER THIS! The first hairstylist I felt actually LISTENED and processed my needs in convo, felt comfortable going back and forth with me which then allowed us to EXCEED all expectations. She listened productively to what I wanted I have a unique amount of hair, a lot with more rows than the average girl that would be pleased at places I was not. I never had extensions before, but May made me feel very comfortable with the process. I did not experience any discomfort during the install or while I have been wearing them. I highly recommend May!
