Great experience - friendly atmosphere - knowledgeable staff… but if you are calling for an appointment, and your time is important to you, do yourself a favor and leave a message for them to call you back at the first prompt - otherwise you’ll be on hold for an inordinate amount of time ….only to be forced to leave a message anyhow - definitely frustrating.

I realize that there are a lot of competent doctors/opthamologists in Maryland. But, I always get pleasure going out of my zip code to see Dr. James Stottlemyer. This is my 1st time at this office in Chestertown Maryland. Abby his assistant compliments this office nicely. I cannot say the same thing for the receptionist. She became very argumentative with me, after she returned from lunch! If it wasn't for the doctor and his assistant, this business would not have gotten five stars!

I had a great exam experience. The team saw me right on time. The exam was thorough and the results were well communicated. Entire time on site under 1 hour; including the time to pick out new frames. I highly recommend this practice.
