Another Bad Creation

My experience of this place goes back to 1955. It was a corner grocer called Jakes corner store. Rose & Jake Banks were the owner. They were very old when I was a small boy. I lived down the street at 3825 Beehler Ave. This corner store was a snapshot of 1940's / 1950's Baltimore. The right side of the store was a huge "penny candy" display case. I never realized it at 7 but, Rose Banks must have been in awful pain, bent down while us kids took what seemed to her aching joints as forever, choosing which large assortment of penny candy we wanted. In those days there was 2 cent deposits on all soda bottles 5 cents on quart milk bottles and 25 cent deposits on 1/2 gallon...read full review

I have nothing but love for each and every worker there. Ariel has not only been doing my hair but my moms as well. She’s also the one and only cosmetologist I’ve ever allowed to do my children hair. The truth is it’s not just a hair salon , it’s a family
