It is difficult to find tailors, fortunately we have a nice quality tailor in B&D Tailors in downtown Annapolis. A small but mighty shop that delivers consistently good results. He does get busy so be sure to plan for a couple weeks for turnaround, especially around spring events and the holidays.
He also does a great job decorating his windows in support of Navy, holidays and the seasons!

I initially went to B&D to have the neckline altered on a velvet gown that I purchased for my son’s wedding. That was done exactly as I requested and the price was very reasonable. Subsequently, I needed to have the dress hemmed & also asked Gary whether he could do anything to make the 3/4 sleeves more interesting. He took the left-over ruffles from the neckline and added them onto the sleeves - which created a fabulous look. Then, at the last minute, I realized that the slit at the back was too high & dropped by to see if Gary could work on it before I had to leave town for the wedding. Great workmanship. I and my husband had a few items hemmed & altered here. I had five floor length dresses hemmed and each one needed some of the fabric cut off, and one needed to be taken in. ALL were done to perfection, including my husband's dress pants, and everything was done in a timely manner.

They even returned any cutoff/discarded fabric.

All of our future needs for tailoring will be done here.
