Had to use CAA services to help us out. They contacted Windy Lane Towing. Even though we were only 15-20 minutes from Winkler.. it took 2 hours for someone to get to us. This is not the fault of Windy Lane. it was with the mis-communication from CAA to Windy Lane. Samuel from Windy Lane Towing helped us out. He was kind, courteous and very knowledgeable in what he was doing. Once he was there, we were loaded up and moving within minutes.
I have an electric Smart Car; which I tow behind my RV. I recently stopped over in Winkler for a service visit to the Leisure Travel Van company. When I went to un-hitch the Smart Car from the van; the car would not start! I called for Mercedes roadside assistance, I was directed to find a local towing company and bring the Smart Car to the Mercedes Dealer in Winnipeg. After asking several local contacts for a referral I called the folks at Windy Lane Towing. They were able to squeeze me in for a late afternoon run up to Winnipeg. Ken was the driver who arrived to load my car onto the Tilt-Up Flatbed truck. He was very professional, knew what he was doing and soon we shared a ride in his truck cab up to Winkler. After I left the car for service, I rode back to Winkler with Ken. He is a most enjoyable fellow, and he and his company provided great service for good value. Highly recommend them is you need to tow your vehicle, small or large.
