Mass Appeal does a great service to the many disadvantaged residents that also live in Wellfleet and outer Cape. There is a huge selection of clothing, toys, bedding, etc. Not all are wealthy here, and fishing is n ot an easy or lucrative way of living or those who have jobs serving the tourist or otherwise marginal work. Most of the volunteers are devoted and caring, esp. to those who frequent regularly. I saw a rack of beautiful snow jackets for boys and girls that were donated brand new by a local bank. How foolish to base the above review on the behavior of just one volunteer. Missed the point completely.

Cape people! If you have a need for clothes or linens and things, I found this amazing thrift store in Welfleet called Mass Appeal. While they do have a donation box, you are absolutely not pressured to donate if you can't afford it. They don't ask for ID or proof of low income, they just ask you to sign the book with your town and household size, your name is optional! They allow you 25 items a day, per person, not per family/household, and have everything from baby clothes, toys and books, adult shoes and all types of clothes and accessories, and even blankets and linens!
