Rick Castino and his staff at Operation Independence were some of the best people I have ever had doing work in my home. The chair lift and orginally designed porch gate have afforded me independence and work perfectly. Rick comes on time, as does his staff, and their work around accessibility construction is excellent. Rick listened well to what I wanted and needed, and was very realistic in plans. He is the best !
Rick and Operation Independence recently did 3 projects for us to help us
“age-in-place”. This is the second time we hired Rick has to modify a home for us. Rick and his crew are knowledgeable, efficient and a pleasure to work with.
1. They modified our bathroom to handicapped accessible- they installed a roll-in shower with grab bars and a fold-up seat. A beautiful accessible vanity was added as well as radiant floor heating.
2. They installed a stair- chair on the stairs to our finished basement. This involved rebuilding the bottom of the stairs and the result was terrific. They matched tile and paint perfectly.
