I've loved my time with Heal Vet and Dr. Keen! Knocked off one star because my dog was pawing at his eye recently, and the earliest appointment for him to be seen was 2 weeks after. Because it was his eye, we obviously couldn't wait that long. I was very surprised to hear how booked they were-- when we first came to Heal, we usually got appointments in within the week or days, even. Just something to consider (maybe August is a busy month?) With that said, I would continue with this practice if I were not moving out of state. Dr. Keen and the vet techs had been awesome. Excellent vet care for my 9 yr-old Golden. Allowed me to refuse offered $350.00+ 'preventative care' tests with minimal discussion (I assume these tests are offered with Goldens a bit as they are prone to cancer and I have had to work harder to refuse diagnostic/preventative testing as other vets). My dog was very comfortable at the office and with staff which is really appreciated.
I left my family vet after they were bought out by VCA and their costs tripled and quality went downhill. I was so thankful to find Heal and their phenomenal vets, techs, and staff. They have been patient, compassionate, and amazing with communication as we’ve tried to figure out various treatments for my senior cat. They have a low stress environment set up where Drs sit on the floor with the pets so everyone is on their level.
