“I love my new car’s paint job. It’s a beautiful red metallic that looks 3-D and was developed at Mazda by the best team in the business who wanted to imbue a spiritual significance to the color. It’s called “Soul Red Crystal Metallic” and I knew that when I got my first ding, scrape or chip it would never be the same. Nobody can reproduce the factory paint job. I was hesitant about driving it on the highway, where I knew it would get hit by sand and rocks which would mar the paint on the hood. Then I discovered PPF. Paint Protection Film is a crystal clear plastic that is stretchy and resilient and can be wrapped on a vehicle’s body panels. It’s thick and protective and gives your paint job protection from road debris, salt and small rocks. The next step was research and I was looking for an expert to do the job right, because I wanted my dream car to continue to look fantastic and be easy to care for. I believe in reading all the reviews. I found Riccardi’s Automotive Detailing & Paint Protection had all 5* reviews by people who were happy with the quality of the work, the product and the professionalism of the business owner, Matt Riccardi. I found an appointment request form on the website, and I filled it out. I shopped the packages listed and took a deep breath and chose the complete wrap. I figure it’s an investment in my car’s appearance. My phone rang almost immediately and it was Matt Riccardi, who was friendly and chatted to me about his services and he was trying to line me up for a consultation. He was even willing to look at my car in my garage because he was going to be in my area. That’s customer service in my book! I was planning to wait a few months once I decided to move forward so I could save up. Matt booked my car for the work in July and he was impressive in person, so knowledgeable about the work, and he shared his background explaining that he developed his love for servicing cars as a 10 year old working in his Dad’s auto shop! When I came back to pick up my car it looked beautiful—very shiny and the film was possibly presenting the paint job with even more depth, if that’s possible. He sent me a sped up video of him and a second member of his team putting the PPF on my car and the care they take to get all the bubbles out. He has excellent communication and follow up. He books a first wash a month later, where he goes over the car with a fine toothed comb and makes tweaks or will redo a panel if it doesn’t meet his standards. I followed his careful instructions on allowing the PPF to cure, and used the very soft microfiber cloth and special cleaning mix he provided as a gift to wipe off any bird droppings or stuff that stuck to the car. I returned for my first cleaning and he redid my hood to make himself happy. He also redid one mirror. The car looks absolutely stunning and I could not be happier. I cannot express enough how great Matt is at applying PPF and he stands behind his products and work. He’s ultra competent and personable. He bends over backward to make sure you are happy. Do yourself and your favorite car a favor and go see Matt!“
