“So about 6 months ago my 7yr old had a spot of dry skin on her eyelid and i brought her to a dermatologist (not Dr G) this Dr gave me a topical gel, told me she had eczema and she’ll grow out of it. About a month later she had more spots and what seemed like mountains of dry skin in her hair. Was told she had seborrheic dermatitis and folliculitis. The dr then gave me a topical oil that had alcohol as a base that literally burnt the skin off of my daughters hairline. There were actual blisters across her whole forehead! And all of the patches were getting worse despite me practically bathing her in the ointment I was given. I kept calling and felt stupid for calling so much but I knew they were wrong. Mothers instinct I guess. After reaching out to a few family members I got directed to Dr Goldberg. I showed up unannounced with no appointment at 4pm on a Monday with tears in my eyes begging them to help my little girl. Luckily Shanice was at the front desk and she got us in the very next day. Dr Goldberg took one look at my daughter and said she has psoriasis. He showed me pictures in a book and said that’s what it is. He gave me another topical ointment that I started that night and the next day my daughters scalp was 90% better! IN ONE NIGHT! Keep in mind my daughter has been suffering since MARCH! It was August! The Dr gave me strict instructions for care for the next two weeks and some areas improved but not all and I ran out of the topical since her body was covered with psoriasis. The pharmacy couldn’t refill the prescription because it was too soon according to my insurance. And in comes Shanice AGAIN to save the day! Her and Rosa called the pharmacy no less than 4 times and my insurance to get it overridden to get my daughter her medicine.
