About Lilac Hedge Farm
Lilac Hedge Farm is a 500-acre pasture-raised meats farm in Rutland and Holden, Massachusetts. They offer a weekly home delivery service across the state, selling their own meats and other local farm products. The farm also runs a year-round Farm Stand and ice cream, as well as a seasonal Farm Kitchen and Bar serving local brews and casual farm-to-table bites. Customers praise the high-quality products, friendly staff, and great delivery service, with some enjoying the buffalo-infused chicken burgers. Visitors have also appreciated the on-site store, which offers meat and seafood bundles, as well as other items like pumpkins. The farm is a lovely place to walk around, visit with animals such as goats, emus, camels, and turtles, and buy delicious corn. Many customers find the meats to have much more flavor and juiciness compared to grocery store options, and some have used farm-sourced suet to make terrific tallow for French fries. The farm hosts live music and various on-farm events for the whole family, making it a treasured resource and destination.
We placed an order for our first box this month and signed up for the subscription plan. Package was delivered as promised, great communication with this process. We have cooked up the bacon, ribeye steak and chicken tenders. All have been amazing. We can taste the difference in the meat compared to store bought. Already made adjustments to my next order to get a different free item and changed up a few items we want to try.
So glad I finally gave them a try! So far, we have made the whole chicken, moist and delicious and wings on Sunday for the bills game! Go BILLS! Wings were meaty and again, delicious! The store-bought chicken has dramatically changed. I eat very little red meat, so chicken is my go-to protein. I (we) am very happy with Lilac Hedge and plan on purchasing from them again!
