Matt worked with me and my 3 1/2 yo golden doodle this summer. He is a gem and miracle worker. Over the course of our lessons Maisie became so much better when told to stay and come. I feel much more comfortable and in control when we’re around other dogs, including off leash areas.
Matt is awesome! We have an 8 month old dachshund puppy who had never been trained before and we were in need of some training ourselves since this is our first dog. Matt was incredibly helpful in the first few weeks via multiple zoom sessions to help out with potty training and crate training, he has a way of giving exactly the right amount of information in a way that is easy to understand and act on. We felt reassured and very supported, he was our first choice for in-home lessons as well. The lessons have been even better, he has an incredible amount of knowledge but was careful to never make us feel overwhelmed. Each lesson has been very well planned but also flexible to meet new challenges that come up weekly and answer our many questions. We've made an incredible amount of progress with our pup, thanks Matt!! Would highly recommend.
We started our 5 month lab, Finn with Matt on Sept. 7, 2024. Our concerns with him were: 1) leash walking. It was impossible to have an enjoyable walk as he was always pulling. 2) jumping on people 3) chasing, lunging, barking at anything that drove by us! It was so bad we were Actually scared of what would happen if he ever got away from us! Just three, 45 minute training sessions resolved all of this! He is a completely different dog! I actually have people comment on well he’s doing as he walks right next to me! Now, he will just sit quietly and watch the traffic go by! I would definitely recommend Connell’s Dog Training!
