I started taking William's lessons about two years ago, and now, I'm completely hooked on dancing. William's lessons are fun, incorporating humorous jokes, and he carefully teaches us while ensuring we don't get hurt.

Before finding William, my wife and I almost gave up on our dream of learning to dance. We tried two other dancing teachers before, and it didn't work for us. Our previous instructors, who were professional dancers, taught by demonstrating the sequence of moves they wanted us to repeat, but couldn't tell us what we were doing wrong when it didn't work. On top of it, both me and my wife got an infamous dancing shoulder injury trying to repeat a complicated pattern. We were frustrated and close to giving up, but I convinced my wife to try one last time - and then we found William. We were in town for Smith Family Weekend and daughter, who is taking dance classes at Smith, suggested we come here on Saturday night for their one-hour dance lessons and Saturday night dance party. What a great idea! We did two classes. 6-7pm Salsa, then 7-8pm Hustle. William was a terrific instructor, using humor and LOTS of visualization directions to help us learn. There were about 15ish students in each of the classes. You dance with at least half the class, depending on whether you choose to lead or follow. The one-hour lessons are really just a brief glimpse into each dance, and you can follow up with more lessons in the future if you like it. At 8pm is the weekly dance, which you're welcome to stay for, or you can just come for the dance and pay dance-only admission. It's a good opportunity to practice what you've just learned. Because this was my only dance lesson, I was no good to those who came along and asked me to dance other kinds of dances (the dance party plays music for 6 or 8 or 12 styles of dance....I forget how many). But there are many people who clearly come quite often, so one gentleman was a good sport when I told him - you lead, I'll do my best to follow - and he was a pretty darn good leader, I'll tell you! Of course daughter was most popular to be asked to dance, because she can actually dance LOL. Anyway, if a first-year college student and her parents can have a good time, you can, too. Show up alone or with 5 friends - it'll be fun!
