My family has had an exceptional experience at this karate dojo over the past several years. My children are learning important life skills while engaging in their martial arts practice. Shihan sets high standards while providing students with the support they need to feel confident and successful. During the COVID-19 crisis, she has continued offering classes via Zoom. Highly recommend!
My three daughters (ages 9-14) have been attending NGMA for over a year. As an educator myself, I am astounded by how well and quickly Shihan identified each ones' strengths and adapted to their unique temperaments to bring out the best in them. This care for her students extended into this period of crisis. She quickly identified ways to continue the karate training remotely. The zoom class we took with her remotely was a fantastic way to unite them around something they share and to keep a bit of normalcy in their routine. Thank you!
We’ve been going to NGMA for about a year now. It’s a fabulous dojo with an attentive teacher and wonderful support staff. Kids of all karate levels get almost personalized attention. Shihan has an eagle eye out for the strengths and weaknesses of each individual student and tailors her coaching accordingly. Since the recent crisis that has befallen us all, NGMA has taken to utilizing digital meeting platforms to continue the lessons while at home. We piloted it this week via Zoom and this works very well (well...almost...since my daughter misses the fun “games” session at the end 🙂). Kudos to the NGMA ownership for investigating and adopting remote teaching alternatives to keep our kids invested and excited about martial arts. And it is an always a pleasure to support local businesses.
