Jackson Square Laundromat

I just moved to the neighborhood and needed to find a place to bring my shirts to be laundered and pressed. Jackson Square is pretty close to my apartment and their website says shirts are $1.95. Got there and the Spanish-speaking-only employee had no idea how to enter my order. After a call to his manager, he still had no idea, so I left my shirts with no receipt, with him saying they'd be ready in two days and someone who spoke English would call the next day. (NB He was friendly and I suspect English isn't really needed much there, and I'm OK with that. Everyone needs to work.) No call, of course. Very friendly environment.. the fact that a don't like is the way they threat her... very disrespectful... didn't like it a bit. She is very helpful. My 1st time but not the last.

I come here every weekend to do my laundry. Many machines are either out of order or we have to choose a certain program number in order to do laundry . Also the handles on the washer are very hard to handle and often times I have to forcefully push the door in order for the handle to work. Unfortunately, tonight I saw a cockroach climbing on the wall by the window seal. I told Maureen, the attendant and she apologized multiple times and killed the roach.I wish to continue coming here because it is very convenient for me. I hope that there is more maintenance done here soon or in the future. I would love to see this place with more washers and dryers repaired considering...read full review
