“Blake's is a hip downtown gathering for folks needing a good haircut with a side of fellowship. Historically, the neighborhood barber shop has maintained a venerable tradition in American society, especially in minority neighborhoods. In other words, men need places to connect - a brotherhood of the besieged, if you will. And Blake's satisfies. One of the barbers, cheery Zach, whom I met in Yarmouth, told me a few years back, he was gonna join the crew at Blake's; and I'm glad he did. My main man though is Keven, a lanky Jamaican who quietly shows he likes people and his craft. Occasionally, he can be a tad firm with the clips so gives him feedback; he's very cool ?. I love Blake's because its mellow city vibe brings an alternative cultural spin to a growingly diverse Cape hungry for it. And it's past time, baby.“
“Excellent barber shop and very accommodating. I took my 8 year old son and they treated him like gold. He actually forgot his jacket, and I immediately called the barber shop and the person who answered the phone said they were closed but he told me to come pick it up and he would wait until we got there. 15 minutes later I pull up and the man was standing outside with his jacket. This was incredibly nice for anybody to sit and wait to do such a nice gesture. Great place!“
