About Shaker Hills Country Club
Shaker Hills Country Club offers a challenging golf course with a unique layout and distinctive holes, including a hole-in-one challenge on the par 3s. The greens are known for their good condition, true roll, and significant undulation. While some reviews mention issues like thin fairways, uneven tee boxes, and occasional lack of maintenance, the course is generally well-maintained. The clubhouse and facilities could use some attention, but the overall atmosphere is appealing. The staff's friendliness varies, and some guests feel the service could be improved. Despite mixed feedback, many players find the course worth revisiting for its unique challenges and public accessibility. Recent reviews praise the course's fantastic condition, even after heavy rain, and highlight the friendly staff and the popular drive-thru refreshment stand. Golfers highly recommend Shaker Hills Country Club for its exceptional golfing experience.
Place STINKS. They don't know how to grow rough, every sprinkler must be broken, theres more water around the heads than in the ponds, tees burnt to a crisp, greens rolled like I was putting in sand, a hitting net in the middle of 8 fairway was a great target to aim at, its cart path only on multiple holes for no reason whatsoever (everything is dryer than the desert sand in the Sahara) and theres more artificial tees than real tee boxes.
I played my first round today as a member. The course was in fantastic condition even after days of rain. The fairways were tight and dry, the greens firm and fast, and the tee boxes were perfect. I have played dozens of courses over the last 30 years, and Shaker Hills Country Club is right up there with the best. I strongly recommend it!
What a great fall golf day! Course is in great shape and the pace was awesome! We will be back again soon.
