Megan, my technician, was knowledgeable, thorough and quite personable. Dr. Shields was professional, personable, and pragmatic. He identified a potential problem of which I was unaware and gave me confidence in his judgment and abilities. To note that I am positively impressed is an understatement. I believe the technical expression of my relationship to Dr. Shields and to Megan is that I 'lucked out'.

I had a superb experience with Dr. Shield and all the staff working at both Eye Physicians of Northampton and the Cataract & Laser Center West. I had cataract surgery performed sequentially on both eyes a week apart. At every stage of this process I received clear information and instructions. Everyone was friendly, helpful and clearly competent at their role. I was always asked if I had any questions, and when I did, I received helpful and thoughtful answers.
