    Needed data I hadn't backed up from a dead desktop harddrive. I tried powering it up to copy with USB adapter (this method worked with my previous dead hdd) but it wouldn't power up. Took it to two local computer biz who tried same thing, no results. All local computer biz advertize data recovery but don't do it for worst case scenarios like this. They recommend shipping it to places with a "clean room" to open hdd with costs $200-2000. This was literally the last place I phoned and was surprised to hear he had software that could clone the hdd despite power problems. If that wasn't possible, he had a tabletop "clean room" where he could open the hdd. The cloning appears...read full review
