My wife and 3 sons used Dr. Rivers for several years when we lived on the Cape. By any measure, Dr. Rivers is a fine DDS. However, when we had an issue this week and needed to get an appointment, his office (Sam) totally blew us off with a curt you were patients too long ago and we now have all the patients we need. When we asked if they could simply give a referral because of the severity of the issue, she flatly said “no.” A Doc is only as good as their staff. Really disappointing.

I was in a lot of pain and didn’t want to bother Dr.Rivers on his w/e of skiing. Called his answering service & was told some one would call me back. Didn’t happen. Tried again the next day, to no avail. Thought he would have an emergency back up person. All I needed was a script for an antibiotic to be called in…but nope. I didn’t want to ask him to come in on a Sunday (not knowing he was also taking Monday off!) My husband &I have been patients for years. You would think that would count for something but no. Dr. Rivers and his office could not be more kind and generous. They really helped my husband out today. He is a long-time patient and was in desperate need of emergency dental care. Dr. Rivers hooked him up and he is already feeling better. I know he isn't on yelp, but he is very pleased with his dentist.
