“We were immediately impressed with the speed of Ivy’s response to our request for an estimate for our bathroom renovation, Marvin came out exactly the day and time that was agreed upon and got to inspecting the bathroom.A day or 2 later Ivy got back to us with a comprehensive and detailed estimate and we quickly agreed to it. Marvin again came out some time later and we informed them that since we only have 1 bathroom that it would be imperative that they do it during our yearly vacation so we could vacate our house and leave them to do the job.We took an enormous leap of faith with Mavy home improvement but once we met Marvin, we felt really good about leaving our home in his hands. Marvin and Ivy’s lines of communication during the work was more than impressive, we received almost daily updates of the work with pictures and whenever there was a design or materials question , we’d get a call from Marvin asking what we wanted done.We received word that the job was completed a full 4 days before we got home along with pictures of the completed bathroom renovation.Marvin then did a walkthrough of the job and explained all the work they did with my wife. We reiterated that we could not be happier with the finished job or more satisfied with the level of customer service and communication they showed to us as clients.I know the apprehension of hiring a contractor and hoping for someone who is honest and of the highest integrity, well it’s Mavy home improvement. We are already asking Marvin and Ivy for quotes on the next project we’d like them to do!Services: Install flooring“

“My wife and I were recently away and when we got back we realized our brand new rear patio door was no longer aligned with the door frame. So for the past month the door would not close and when the wind came in from the ocean the door would blow open and closed, opened and closed, banging against the misaligned frame. Drove us absolutely crazy!We tried numerous times to fix it and it seemed anybody that we called just didn’t have a solution. So, before buying a new door frame/vertical full length hinge, we decided to try one last time after we were referred to the Hingham Handyman.We placed a call to him on a Thursday and he called us directly back on Friday and set up an appointment to come out on Tuesday. He showed up right on time and within 40 minutes our door was fixed to like new condition! We were absolutely thrilled with his professionalism and friendly demeanor and ability to fix our somewhat complex door problem. He had a nice looking truck, lettered with his name on it, he came in a professional uniform and the pricing was very reasonable as well!I would highly recommend this service to anybody looking for somebody who knows what they are doing and is honest.“
