Mike provided great training for my puppy Tucker. he was kind, gentle and a great trainer! we are in our second week, and my pup is catching on fast. what I really liked was he came to my house to do training. Highly recommend!
We just finished our very successful training sessions with our adopted Corgi (Cookie). We are thrilled with the outcome! Cookie came to us after his person died, supposedly. He was with us for several months and things went very well. He was sweet & well behaved, for the most part. Very suddenly & unexpectedly, Cookie's personality changed drastically, and for the worst! He came after us, very aggressively with his full teeth showing! This happened at least 6 times between us. He became extremely food aggressive! He became dominant & possessive of some pieces of our furniture, particularly our ottoman. He came after me & cornered me at least twice when i helped him off the ottoman. He was also extremely aggressive towards our cat, and somewhat towards our other dog. We also have a 12 year old who is regularly in our home, sometimes with a friend, and we were very concerned for her/their safety. It was extremely frightening! We were to the point that we felt it was unsafe to keep Cookie, but knew he was too risky to try to rehome. Those are the circumstances that led us to the decision to find a trainer to try to figure out Cookie's issues, and work to resolve them. We contacted Michael almost immediately. He contacted us quickly, listened to our concerns & fears. He met with us in our home at our earliest convenience, assessed Cookie, and suggested a plan of action. We took the leap of faith for Cookie' s sake & started working with Michael right away. Honestly, as we started this journey with & for Cookie, with Michael, we secretly doubted this was going to help Cookie, but we owed it too Cookie to try to make this work. Michael quietly had some doubts too. Michael came to our home & gave us lessons, on paper, and we practiced the lessons. We worked with Michael through 4 lessons over 6 weeks. Cookie graduated with flying colors! We are thrilled!! His behavior has mafe a 180 degree turn around! Michael was excellent! He was thorough and methodical in his developed a comprehensive training plan for us & Cookie. He walked through it with us, demonstrating the training techniques to use with Cookie, & had us practice them while Michael was with us. He communicated the expectations for us & Cookie for the following week. This continued for 4 lesson plans. The Plans were thorough & well prepared for Cookie. We made great progress! Cookie showed tremendous improvement immediately & consistently over the course of the training program. Upon completion of training with Michael, we vouldn't be happier with Cookie's improvement & success! No more aggression. No more "teeth" coming at us! Cookie is a happy, sweet, well behaved boy! Thank you Michael for helping Cookie & helping up find the path to keeping Cookie!
