Amy Vander Els designs jewelry, teaches, and paints in her mill studio in Amesbury, Mass. She creates enduring designs that are elegant in their simplicity and just the right amount of unusual. Her jewelry, works on paper, and encaustic paintings can be found at numerous galleries, boutiques, and artisan markets throughout the New England area. She is available for private lessons, commissions, and mentoring. Customers praise her warm and helpful approach, the timeless quality of her jewelry, and her incredible creativity and high-quality work.
Amy is an amazing artist and teacher. She covered so many techniques during our Encaustic Painting two-day workshop. Her studio space is clean and has all the supplies needed for the course. I also own a piece by Amy which we love. I’d highly recommend Amy’s art and classes.
I took a weekend workshop on encaustic painting deep dive. Amy is a fabulous artist and an exceptional teacher. There were only 2 of us in the class which Amy was able to spend so much individual time with both of us. The 2 days flew by and I learned so much. I am working on my own encaustic set-up, but also plan on doing some open studio time in Amy's studio. I cannot say enough of how wonderful this workshop was. Thank you Amy Vander Els!
