Going to a newborn photo shoot in the early postpartum days—with all the physical and emotional things that can come with that—can very easily feel overwhelming. It did for me. I almost canceled the night before. I almost canceled again the morning of. But I wanted these pictures so much, so I pushed my postpartum body out the door and went.
And I am so grateful that I did.
