They are very good people, definitely caring of their customers they taught my GF how to check oil and fixed her brakes. I would recommend them I am probably going to be bringing my truck soon for a brake job.
Thank you to John Walters and the team at Dave’s Dave's Car Care Center (Pinhook Location in Lafayette, LA)! While in Baton Rouge on Monday, I got my oil changed at Take 5 Oil Change (2943 College Dr. Baton Rouge, LA 70808). I started my trip back to Houston on Tuesday. About 30min west of Baton Rouge, my high temp light came on while I was on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge. I immediately pull over and discover antifreeze leaking on the underside of my truck. Thank you to R&R Towing LLC for the rescue. They delivered me and my truck to Dave’s Car Care in Lafayette. When the manager heard my plight, he made room in their busy schedule to immediately diagnose the issue and order the part - damaged radiator-to-oil cooler hose (ironically, the part was overnighted from Houston). Yes, the “oil change technician” at Take 5 Oil Change had crushed the hose fitting and split the coolant hose - creating a slow leak. This “technician” even had the wherewithal to stuff a red shop rag around the oil filter and damaged hose (presumably to soak up the leaking fluid) before letting me get on the road after the oil change. What kind of person would try to hide this?!?! This guy would be a great hire for Boeing. 🤦🏻♂️ I missed my daughter’s district track meet because of this . 😢 Dave’s Car Care Center replaced the hose and got me back on the road. They also preserved the evidence of the damage clearly done by Take 5 Oil Change. Take 5 Oil Change, get your check book ready…
