Ochsner Medical Center: Santos Alan C MD

My mother has been in the hospital after a near death experience and does need to be sent to a nursing home. Her case worker, Janelle, got her placed in the wrong nursing home of our preferences which is far for any of her family to travel to and now has an attitude because we have not been able to assemble the paperwork in time for our mother to leave immediately. My mother is still sick - she is throwing up and has constant diarrhea. The nurses have begin to be incredibly rude even going as far as hanging up on the family when we call to get her help. I wish I could give zero stars the way my daughter and I was treated in the ED on 09/28/24. We were brought by ambulance to the hospital to receive medical treatment after an automobile accident. My daughter and I were separated because she had to go to the pediatric side to see the pediatrician. My daughter texted me and said that she was not comfortable with the doctor. She said that he told her that Americans love to sue, and that he didn't think anything was wrong with her but he would do an X-ray because he didn't want to be sued as well. I wish I could select zero stars. medicine was never dispensed on time and up to 2 hours late multiple times. Uncomfortable and in excruciating pain the entire hospitalization. staff was rude with terrible bedside manner unsympathetic and simply doesn't care. never saw the same doctor. highly uninformed of treatment plan until it was happening. horrible experience.
