I can't believe how long I have been a client. But I've watched with admiration as the owner of this salon advanced from having a chair at the Smart Style Hair Salon in Wal-Mart to sharing half of a work area with a local barber, to going solo in her own salon.... and then systematically expanding the salon from hair services only to include a boutique clothing/jewelry line and then to include hand-crafted jewelry. And expansion from brick and mortar only to internet sales. Wow! And all of this was done while displaying a demonstrated commitment to her craft, her clients, and most of all her faith.
Her work went beyond work and was actually her ministry as she provided a quiet and serene environment for her clients to escape the demands of work, caregiving, and the general challenges of life. I've observed her encourage clients to walk out ( through prayer and faith) of their comfort zones to pursue their goals, and I've seen her schedule home and nursing home visits for clients who had grown older and could no longer visit her shop.
I'm in no way a Bible scholar, but I know from Mount Zion Baptist that somewhere in there He instructs us to do well with what He's given us and He will give us more. And I know from experience that He is faithful in honoring His Word. So, I can't wait to see or hear about what will unfold next!
I've purchased a few relaxed glamour items from the boutique and some hand-crafted jewelry, and I have truly enjoyed my purchases. ( In fact I have called her our local Mignon Faget!) So don't miss the clearance sale that will be going on for a few weeks. Great bargains await you!
What can I say about this place that the smile doesn't show...I love my DADDY with all of my heart so a 5☆ rating sometimes just isn't enough. But when you walk in and get a haircut from him you will definitely be more than pleased.
Didn’t get a chance to post last week, but after leaving the shop, I had to call Elanda to let her know just how fabulous she is!!! It’s been a long time that I’ve gone to a shop, got in the chair and walked out gorgeous in an hour. She and her staff are super professional and dress to kill!!! Thanks so much for what you do.
