Big Sky CARES (formerly Big Sky Ranch/CATNIP Foundation) is a remarkable no-kill shelter that dedicates itself to saving animals in need. With a team of amazing and caring people, the organization tirelessly works to rescue and rehabilitate cats and other animals, often taking in those that were previously scheduled for euthanasia. Despite being a relatively small rescue, they operate with a big heart, reaching out to help animals wherever they are needed, including in Louisiana. The shelter's staff is very friendly and caring, always going above and beyond to care for cats and kittens in the community. They are well organized, and the facility is kept clean and well cared for. The staff offers kind advice and support, especially to those bringing in very young or injured animals. Their unwavering commitment to the animals' welfare is truly admirable, even though they often work tirelessly without taking breaks. The organization relies heavily on community support through adoptions, volunteering, and donations to continue their vital work, and they are always in need of responsible volunteers.
I accidentally ran over my cat. Thinking the worst, I brought her here. They did xrays, and a full exam. Miraculously, it seems I only pinched her elbow and she had a cut that needed staples.
They found an infection she had previously and treated that as well. In the following days, she was not eating or drinking on her own. In all, we visited 3 times until she was eating, drinking and back to her normal self.
This was no small feat as she's at least 17, possibly 19.
These people are miracle workers and all they care about is the animal. They work with you with payments and appointments.

They are very caring people that do great things for so many cats. They should be more places like that that help so many people. They are so nice and very thoughtful people that work there .
Very friendly and caring staff! Clean facility and well cared for animals! They go above and beyond caring for cats and kittens in the community and I wish more shelters were like them!
