I like the way they braid, but I was disappointed with the fact that the two individuals that did my hair didn't know how to dye my hair I had to talk the last one through how to do it. I don't think I want to go back to this business.

Completely wasted my time. I've gotten my hair braided by them before and this time I made an appointment and they did not come through for me. I showed up after paying for a car service from across town and I arrive for them to be closed. I spoke with a lady the day prior to and she assured me my time slot and confirmed. I arrive to locked doors and a pitch black building. I call and she says: "I know I scheduled you but the shop is closed, Come back tomorrow" No apologies or accountability taken for being unprofessional and having me waste my time and money plus I had become a returning client. RUDE AS F**** They'll never get my money again.

It seems this African Braid shop is not aware that CROCHET styles are meant to PROTECT your natural hair. Between yanking the curl pattern apart instead of gently separating the strands and ruining the curl pattern, the braiders lack of skill with the crochet needle is ripping my hair out with each application. You can plead all day for them to NOT pull your delicate edges into the braid and to NOT BRAID TOO TIGHT, your request will be ignored. You can send a video tutorial in advance and you can bet your edges your braider won't watch it and will mess the style up. They get 1 star because you will never catch a braid slipping off in embarrassment but it will cost you your entire head full of healthy natural hair...all for just ONE hairstyle!!!! After Tree braids my hair shed for months by the handful. I did this style by myself and managed to keep the curl pattern but I paid this shop $180 for this matted up birds nest on my head! Guess which photo is the professional and which one I did myself.
