F.S. VanHoose & Co.

Great place to go. It's the old fashioned lumber yard from back in the, day. Real people take your order, give you advice, know what they sell, and even load your truck. And they do it for reasonable price. Highly recommended.

In a small town setting, VanHoose's is a necessity for small business owners and contractors. They offer a wide arrangement of building material and supplies. The prices on material are a small amount higher, however, which should be expected and credited towards the convenience and completeness the company offers.

They had good customer service we drove all the way from Breathitt to do business with them. We did have to return what we had bought but it wasn't their fault it fell back on the supplier. This was the only place mom had thought she had found the paneling she had been looking for. That's why I only gave 4 stars we did have to make a return trip bc the paneling wasn't checked when it arrived at the store to make sure it was the right one ordered so we didn't know until we got all way back home & then had to make another trip to return it. They were really nice and gave us no problem returning it.
